New Year Reset: Home Organization Challenge

Start fresh in 2021 by joining the New Year Home Organization Challenge!

I’ve created a fun way to get get your home reset after the chaos that was 2020. Use the free printable below to do small tasks that make a BIG impact in your home! Shoot for a bingo, or go for gold with a blackout. Can you do them all before the end of the month?

Each task is designed to take about 20 minutes or less. I selected areas in your home that you and your family interact with on a daily basis, so while the projects may seem small, you will notice the difference right away!

Let’s RESET!

Here are a few tips:

Do the task in the morning so the day doesn’t get away from you. Plus, you’ll start your day off with a huge WIN and that always feels good and creates momentum!
Use a timer. Set it for 20 minutes, and take a pledge to work as hard as you can until the timer goes off. Once it goes off, you are done. If you have more time, keep going. If not, you can either finish up the project later or continue it another day.
Give yourself a daily reward for each task. Decide before starting that day what the special reward or treat will be for completing each square. Then, decide what the reward will be once you get a BINGO and even blackout! Select something that you know will motivate you.
If you or your kids have a hard time letting go of things, set a specific number of things to keep. For example, tell them they can keep 15 stuffed animals, 10 board games, 10 coloring books, etc. You decide how many, and they decide which ones.
Be enthusiastic! The more pumped up you get about this, the more help you’ll get from the entire family. Put on some good music, be silly, and get organized!
