Job Description

Overview of Role
Systems by Susie is looking for a hard-working, highly organized individual to join our team of organizers.

  • Works Closely With: Lead Organizer, Project Manager, Susie (owner)
  • Hours: 4-15 hours/week, Hours not guaranteed
  • Status: Part-Time Employee Position
  • Compensation: $15/hour, with review after 3 months

Responsibilities

On Site

  • Put trash, recycling, shredding, and donation items into the appropriate receptacles while on site
  • Label bins, boxes, containers, etc. using a label maker or specialty label
       ○ We will provide training on using the Cube Labeler.
       ○ Requires an app to be downloaded
  • Assemble small furniture items, such as storage boxes or shelving units
  • Loading up organizing materials, supplies, donated items, and shredding in Organizer’s car
  • Perform additional assignments as directed by Lead or Managers
  • Responsible for sorting, moving, and storing items on site with direction from a Lead Organizer.
  • Assist with managing organizing supplies.

Administrative

  • Enter time and expenses into time tracking app daily
  • Maintain company scheduling program (T-sheets) with availability
  • Review schedule daily for upcoming assigned projects

Requirements

  • Ability to work closely with a team
  • Tech skills (i.e. smart phone, cloud based systems).
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds and to climb stairs

Schedule

  • Hours: 4 -20 hours/week, Hours not guaranteed
  • Status: Part-Time Employee Position
  • Compensation: $20/hour, with review after 3 months

Common Tasks

  • Responsible for sorting, moving, and storing items on-site with direction from a Lead Organizer.
  • Work to group a client’s possessions for easy editing and purging, and place the client’s items into organizational systems.
  • Help to maintain a tidy and professional environment throughout the course of organizing or move management jobs.
  • Assist with managing organizing supplies.

Responsibilities

On-Site

  • Sort and tag items in a room or space creating logical groupings for client review
  • Occasionally, work directly with a client and assist in editing or purging belongings
  • Put trash, recycling, shredding, and donation items into the appropriate receptacles while on site
  • Use organizing materials to create systems with the items that clients keep after editing as directed by the Lead
  • Collaborate with Lead Organizer to select containers and generate shopping list
  • Label bins, boxes, containers, etc. using a label maker or specialty label
  • Assemble small furniture items, such as storage boxes or shelving units
  • Transport organizing materials, supplies, donated items, shredding, trash, or recycling to appropriate offsite locations if requested
  • Perform additional assignments as directed by Lead or Managers

Administrative

  • Enter time and expenses into the time tracking app daily
  • Maintain company scheduling program (T-sheets) with availability
  • Review schedule daily for upcoming assigned projects
  • Coordinate with Lead Organizer regarding pre-project assistance, project review, and travel
  • Take update photos and upload photos and information into Google Drive throughout client projects
  • Review client folders and to-do’s prior to and during each project
  • Add job summary, products that were used, and products that need to be purchased into our company database, Pipedrive (We will provide training for this.)

Job Description

Overview of Role
Systems by Susie is looking for a hard-working, highly organized individual to join our team of organizers.

  • Works closely with: Team Support Manager, Project Manager, Lead Organizer, On-Site Organizers
  • Hours: 10-15 hours/week, must include afternoon hours
  • Status: Part-Time Employee Position
  • Hourly Rate: $15-18/hour 

Team Support Duties include: 

  • Oversee procurement of organizing materials kept in stock in support of on-site professional organizers
  • Communicate throughout the day with Lead Organizer to determine on-site staff needs
  • Support for on-site professional organizers with transport of materials, supplies; errands or tasks
  • Document all transactions in online spreadsheet including order numbers and details of purchases
  • Unpack and break down boxes and shipments delivered to garage. 
  • Put items away in garage after a job 
  • Keep the garage organized and correctly labeled
  • Keep garage stocked with all the basic supplies
  • Order items for organizer’s kits
  • Record inventory coming in and going out
  • Restocking inventory after orders are received
  • Pick up, transport and delivery of items to organizers on-site
  • Returns to The Container Store, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Target, etc.

Administrative:

  • Coordinate with Lead Organizer regarding pre-project assistance, project review and travel

Requirements:

  • Team-centric mentality 
  • Willingness to learn and the ability to adapt to company culture
  • Large vehicle with capacity to transport large quantities of items
  • Good driving record
  • Highly organized
  • Attention to detail (cross reference items with receipts, upload info to cloud based systems)
  • Ability to handle situations with store employees when issues arise
  • Tech skills (i.e. smart phone, cloud based systems, apps)
  • Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds
  • Excellent

    • flexibility and the ability to shift gears easily 
  • Ideally centrally located in Annapolis
  • Experience organizing or a background in interior design a plus

Position specifics:

  • Flexible schedule
  • Includes some evening hours during the week, and may include some weekend hours for inter-office communication, shopping, ordering or planning
  • Work from home with driving about town involved

  • Daily afternoon check ins at the garage where products are kept
